All rights, all media, Worldwide, in perpetuity for all news platforms

What does the line I've bolded mean?

I wasn't asked if I wanted to give away "all rights";

Is the media "television" or "all media" and "all news platforms?

Is the time "ten years" or "in perpetuity"?

Am I being incredibly dim, or is this rather ambiguous and confusing?

I had one of those yesterday and was equally confused/dismayed.  It seems"in perpetuity" is cropping up rather often these days for RM images

The "all rights" parts is the most disturbing. When I used to submit freelance articles and photos to newspapers, "all rights" in a contract meant just that -- i.e. you were giving away ownership of your work. Hopefully, "all rights" indicates something else in this context.

We've had various suggestions for the new meaning of RM -- Rights Muddled, Rights Mangled, Rights Maligned, etc. Perhaps we need something new altogether to describe non-RF licenses. Not sure what that would be, though.
