Help identifying plants please.

Recommended Posts

I wonder if anyone can positively identify these plants for me, found on the marshes at Holme of the Norfolk coast a few weeks ago. Thanks in advance.

Stuart.

I think the top photo is Bladder Campion (silene vulgaris), and the middle flower some sort of wild Scabious.   I understand your problem.  I'm just back from the northern Italian Alps and Dolomites and have spent hours identifying the wildflowers I shot. :P

Not so sure Mark. This is not flowers on a thorny shrub but a low plant. I was thinking it might be Birdsfoot Trefoil.

The yellow one looks more like common birds foot trefoil to me (bacon and eggs)? The middle one are sea pinks, or Thrift,  I think (Armeria maritima). The top one I have seen but don't know.
