The BBC used the following images (researched by this Photographer). To illustrate their article asking '. . . are old enough to vote at 16?'In Scotland 16 year olds are entitled to vote in some elections but generally in Britain the voting age is 18. It is often argued that the lack of experience of a 16 year old person would render any vote cast to be meaningless. Also traditionally, 18-24 year olds have a low turnout in elections. However other countries (such as Austria) have lowered the voting age limit to 16.
