Good news for tigers
 
According to George Harrison of the Sun it is looking unlikely that tigers will be extinct by 2020 as previously thought. Poaching and changes to their environment was predicted to have a devastating effect upon the species. A century ago it was thought that there were 100k tigers but by 2010 this figure had dropped to 3.2k. However as a result of forest conservation (particularly in India and Nepal) has resulted in increases in the size of their tiger populations.
