For obvious reasons the Alamy News team Tweet images that they think are interesting using a short form of the web address as in http://www.alamy.com/news/?123456(that's a phony number).

It links to the set for that submission.

If I wanted to Tweet the presence of my images on Alamy news, I'd need to include an almost endless http://www.alamy.com/news/newsresults.aspx#BHM=foo%3Dbar%2.........

It doesn't fit!

Does anyone know where I can find the magic number represented by "123456" in the above?

Thanks for your feedback.

Not sure how Alamy do it, but when I've done it I use tinyurl   Seems to work ok and not had any complaints

Ed beat me to it - tinyurl.com works great - you can even customize the URL

I tried to tweet my live news images directly from Alamy today but the share link didn't work. Anyone else have this issue?
