In addition to Marianne's useful post above, you are probably better to wait for a few weeks before searching with Google reverse image search or Tineye, as their databases are not updated immediately.

Of course, if the image has not been used on the Internet, these search engines will not find it.

If the image has been used in a book and the publisher has credited the photographer, then a Google text search for Alamy and your pseudonym  is sometimes useful.

On many occasions all searches fail, just be happy that you have made a sale!

Francesco,

Sometimes when people are reading online or in print, they will notice the Alamy credit - then they search Alamy using keywords to try to find the image and post links (when available) to both.

Other times, if someone is searching for their own photograph, they will use google images or tineye to do a search by photo. When they find their photo, often there will be other photos credited to Alamy and they are kind enough to share them here on the forum.

Hope that helps.

Thank you to Marianne and Bryan to clarify it.

I think them know what read, or are lucky :)

Anyway i thank everyone that do, to finding and notifying at us... thanks!

It's possible that some agencies, e.g. getty, inform its sellers about where, and how, will be used a them image?

... i don't know, maybe i'm wrong.

i will see your update, BR to all and thanks

Francesco

Above Alamy photograph submitted by Trinellblue / Stockimo appeared in the Telegraph in an article written by Hattie Garlick. In her report Hattie advocates the advantages of encouraging children to keep a travel diary. She argues that when they grow older they will refresh memories that have long since become jaded about the mishaps suffered and comic moments captured. The Alamy photograph below was submitted by Cultura Creative and further illustrates the writers long forgotten thoughts about becoming a Buddhist.
