License information -15% change

Recommended Posts

I had two of these yesterday presumably from the same buyer. Can someone explain the reference to "15% content changed" ?

Licensed for all languages, all editions including e-book and digital provided no more that 15% content changed.

New/other editions are included provided no more than 15% of the content has been changed - it's often used to be that you could have a new impression of a book provided no more than x amount of material was new/different. That even went down, IME, to the case of a new ISBN book which from a division of a major publisher with about 30% content change.... had a good argument over that. TBH, that was about the time 2003 ish when it looked like writing was on the wall for RM repeats.
