September Picture Series

Recommended Posts

Purpose: series of 6-9 images which tell a story or cover a specific destination / happening.

Little tip: think a few months ahead to allow magazine editors plenty of time to prepare articles with - hopefully - your pictures, which could relate to an upcoming event or occurrence.

Other months' picture series. See here

One of my Merida images licensed today. I only posted the series (see above) yesterday, so I doubt that it was a result of someone reading this thread. But you never know.

A whole bunch of my bird ringing series pictures has been zoomed this week. I hope for multiple sales within one article.

Cheers,

Philippe

Encouraging!

It seems this thread has magical properties, wish I had used it before.

Placed a series of New England Fall photos on it this morning and, lo and behold, a sale appears today (New England Fall but not one of those above!)  :)

I have a feeling that some of those magical properties might have something to do with Google image searches, but don't tell everyone.

How do you get the thumbnails to post? I was only able to post the links to mine from the full size images - I tried posting the images from thumbnails and they did not show. Would like to do it correctly next month. Thanks! Some great image stories - an excellent way to think about images by setting up a series.

I have put the thumbnails up simply by right clicking on the image thumbnail in Alamy and pasting it into the "Image" box, but how are you able to link it to the larger image when the thumbnail is clicked on in this conversation?

Some of us requiring advice please!

Go to the page where the larger image is.

Right-click on the larger image and select "Copy image URL".

Go back to your post, click on the thumbnail in your post, then click on the link button (left of the image button) and paste the URL of the larger image into the URL field.

Click "OK" and save changes.

This should work.

You can use the same method to link anything (thumbnails, large images, text…) to anything else (images, the web page dedicated to an image, your portfolio, a specific search into your portfolio…).
