public access to London's buildings opportunity

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

This may be of interest to some here...

There's Open House London (UK) in September, with the opportunity for the general public to visit various buildings/ sites/ construction projects etc. in the capital.

Many of these buildings/areas will be generally off limits to the public. If in the area, could be worth a visit for new photographic material/vantage points (check commercial photography restrictions first !)

If it includes the Crossness Pumping Station, it might be worth a flight from NYC.

Wow!

But alas no: Please note that we will not be open to the public for Open House London

However I think it is open this Sunday.

Thank you for bringing this magnificent building to our attention.

This is too bad. I was stunned by it and its story when I walked the Thames Path a couple of years ago. It's one of the things that makes London what it is in a factual and historical sense and is almost impossible to visit.
