I've had a few TV sales in the past - mostly in Japan - but never to the BBC.

Yesterday three popped up, same license details but apparently unconnected subject matter.

Has anyone else had a similar pleasant surprise this week? Or have people had sales in the past and I've just been unlucky until now?

Phil, I had a TV sale to Germany recently, and this one. Your post made me check the usage details.  I assumed it was a BBC sale as the image was of an actor on

the set of a BBC sitcom: usage says Channel 4. Strange.

That's exactly the details of my three - could this be a welcome new customer?

If you look through the images found threads, you'll find some more.

Personally I spotted some on University Challenge.

When I see Alamy in the captions it's too late, because we cannot easily view a BBC program after it's been aired.

Some of the BBC magazines use Alamy as well.

For me no BBC, but quite a few Japanese and Worldwide (Is it 1984 yet?)

3/4 sales each year for over 250 dollars each but not thro Alamy.  look forward to a price increase now that Alamy are supplying although the licence conditions are as generous as ever!!

That's about in line with what the Japanese TV are paying.

edit: however it's usually distribution.

What's a tv license going for?

My worldwide and Japan TV licenses on Alamy have ranged from $115 to $250.

Don't know what the price calculator says. It tends to be creative fiction, unfortunately.
