Phil Robinson 1,141
I've had a few TV sales in the past - mostly in Japan - but never to the BBC. Yesterday three popped up, same license details but apparently unconnected subject matter. Has anyone else had a similar pleasant surprise this week? Or have people had sales in the past and I've just been unlucky until now?
Joe 167
Phil, I had a TV sale to Germany recently, and this one. Your post made me check the usage details. I assumed it was a BBC sale as the image was of an actor on the set of a BBC sitcom: usage says Channel 4. Strange. Kathy deWitt 117
I had one on the 18th August to the BBC, not of a flower though - a politician. I've had TV sales before but for ITV. Kathy
wiskerke 3,285
If you look through the images found threads, you'll find some more. Personally I spotted some on University Challenge. When I see Alamy in the captions it's too late, because we cannot easily view a BBC program after it's been aired. Some of the BBC magazines use Alamy as well. For me no BBC, but quite a few Japanese and Worldwide (Is it 1984 yet?) wim
Craig Yates 1,891
USA,Germany and ITV. No BBC yet but new customers are very welcome. Regards Craig
John Mitchell 4,642
I've had only Japan and Worldwide TV licenses, but "the Beeb" is always welcome.
Phil Crean 526
Good to see they're actually paying for images Maybe they are staring to realise all the freebies sent in by viewers are worth exactly what they cost
Phil Robinson 1,141
I must start watching University Challenge. Although the images sold were Natalie Bennett, Nelson's Column and a street sign in Prague - I'd love to know where they'd been used.
vpics 660
I had a few sales for the BBC website. Please don't ask for how much. :-(

Number Six 54
Have had a couple of Alamy images in the Countryfile mag a few years ago, and one on bbc.com. Have also had a request from the BBC to use one of my images on Flickr free of charge - I declined of course.
Richard Baker 470
What are BBC sales rates like? Do you think they're screwing the Alamy price system down to the very basic - or are they respectable amounts? Rgds, Richard.

jonnyab 19
What's a tv license going for?
spacecadet 3,781
If you mean a TV licence to own a TV set in the UK, £145.50/year.
John Mitchell 4,642
What's a tv license going for? My worldwide and Japan TV licenses on Alamy have ranged from $115 to $250. Don't know what the price calculator says. It tends to be creative fiction, unfortunately.
