Prixpics Posted August 16, 2015 Share Posted August 16, 2015 Hi, The new Nikon 200-500mm will be approx. £1200 will it be a good 500mm lens? I've been looking at 2nd hand 500mm lenses even one without autofocus at £1300. I then saw the new 200-500mm lens. Does anyone have any idea yet how goo it will be? Marvin McAbee Posted August 18, 2015 Share Posted August 18, 2015 Looks like the electronic diaphragm would not work with my D200 or D90. Looks like a good lens for the newer cameras, and works with FX, and DX. It would give an equivalent 750mm on a DX camera. So no mechanical connections from the lens to the body anymore.
