I have looked at the threads and some of this has been covered, but as a January forum newbie, I have a question about releases,

I am aware of the difference between RF & RM, but I have some images of a model, that I think could sell with model release, but haven't asked them to sign the release. I know model releases are partly about people suing you in the future, amongst other things, but I wondered if you have a model release will that make the image more saleable in monetary terms in general?

Or is it only more valuable, If it is used in a advert of some description, or am I wrong to think that?

Thanks

even in editorial there are some uses where having a release of a model can lead to more sales - sensitive issues etc.

Yes, very much the case. Especially true if the images are of minors. Having a MR is often a dealmaker

You should perhaps use a neutral model release form not mentioning any agency in words, but accepted by all. You never know what the future brings for your images.

Thanks Everyone! Good advice from you all, I'll have to start doing that, my only other thought was some people then might ask for a fee? Does anyone do this?

Thanks

For these everyday images could be symbolic to fulfil the promise in the wording of the release form. Everything ranging from a drink, a coffee, a copy of one of the images, etc. - up to an agreed amount for posing...
