After two successfull uploads third upload declined due to "Number of images"

Recommended Posts

I don't really understand the reasoning here.

The initial batch is supposed to b only 4 images and after that I' free to upload more than that.

Or am I getting this wrong?

This time I uploaded 22 images at once which I found reasonable but quality control failed them with the reasoning "Number of images".

Should I limit the number of images?

Some feedback how to proceed would be greatly appreciated

Was the upload declined, or was it accepted and subsequently Failed?

The upload worked fine.

They failed QC.

I should have probably made that more clear in my post.

I assume that the initial upload of 4 has passed QC?

Yes. As well as 4 more afterwards.

I think dropping an email to member services is called for, for clarification.

My understanding is 5 maximum of "similar" images. So if your batch of 24 had more than 5 images that were of the same subject and close to the same setting/view the batch would be rejected.

According to the submission guidelines, the "Number of Images" message refers to a first submission, so this sounds like a mistake on the Alamy end of things. Inquire at memberservices@alamy.com

After contacting memberservicesQC failed the same images again without me resubmitting them or anything.

Shortly afterwards  received an e-Mail for clarification.
