Hi all,

for those interested in volcanology and great pictures of active volcanoes:

Olivier Grunewald, one of the most well-known French nature photographers, four time World Press Photo winner, is looking for support on kisskissbankbank crowdfunding platform to fund his new project: "get down to survey a boiling lava lake!"

Wow! Some picture... only money I hope and not a photographer?  You have to wonder what kind of photographic equipment you'd need just to operate in those temperatures.  I can imagine a vast number of technical challenges!

Olivier is known to break a lot of gear during his trips.

He was in #4 place in Petapixel's article titled "5 great ways to destroy your camera" with his now worldwide famous photographs of blue flames and sulfur miners in Kawah Ijen volcano's crater.

He has been photographing lava lakes, eruptions, pyroclastic flows and such things for many years now.
