I guess it's my turn to ask the inevitable question.

My August turned out to be a very good month with 17 RM sales for about $1140 gross. Prices were all over the lot, but I guess that isn't exactly breaking news. Zooms remained healthy, and I have a bigger than usual monthly payment coming, which will help my sagging bottom line.

If I had one wish, it would be that my newer images would sell even half as well as my older ones.

Merci again, Alamy.

P.S. I'm also celebrating my fifth consecutive sin-bin-free month.

8 for $369.

Zooms very healthy but 7 out of the 8 sales were never zoomed.

Well done John.

Another lackluster month for me: 6 RF (with the highest sale at $295) and 2 RM (including the lowest sale of $6.54 to India) for only $588.

I'm afraid that the only thing we have in common, John, is our sagging bottom line (avoid looking down!) :D :D :D . That and our footsteps across Central American bridges!

An increasing number of zooms, including a fistful of zooms by ref #, is the only thing that's keeping me afloat this month.  Zero sales. :(

EDIT: Hey! 1,000 posts - do I get a bonus at the end of the year for that?

For me better than July, no sales, with I suppose just only one, although for the moment is showing two sales of the same image. I will see if some zooms are converting in sales next month.

2 for $165.

Lots of zooms this month.

Not a good month at all.

-2 images licensed (two refunds) ending the month with -$200

...and for the third month in a row I'm still sitting on an uncleared balance of $75 (nothing cleared this month for me for some odd reason).

August was my third worst month this year, right behind July.....beat July by 4$! Had 12 sales for $717. I am hopeful for things to improve soon since my Alamy Measures show that August had the best stats since October 2013. Luckily I have a fairly busy month ahead with shoots scheduled! Hopefully some will produce some good stock too.

Three sales (two textbooks and one newspaper), with about 1,000 for sale.

August sure was lean and mean to me.

Have to go back 18 months for a month that was worse.

9 for $400

weird month:

3 on day 1;

6 on the 28th and 29th.

Lowest: $ 8.27 UK

Highest: $ 91.98 Germany

Third best month ever, as I had another commercial sale extended for another year. High 4 figures.

Should add "fingers crossed for no refunds ...".

Like others above, a good number of zooms, third month in a row with a high comparative CTR.

Sales better than July, 4 (RM), but the only one above $18 gross was distributor, so only $66.66 net total.

A fraction above average number of sales - 7. Below average prices, only $240 in total.

A late flurry of zooms made my CTR the best since May 2011.

I know it's small beer compared to a lot on here but I broke through 50 sales for the year for the first time (54) and my total sales broke through 200 at 201. Total revenue for the year already the best ever.

All in all fairly optimistic.

John.

7 sales just shy of $500 - pretty poor. Zooms were well above par so hopefully there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

2 for $60.

Now on the same number of sales as last year with a third of the year to go and a few known to be in the pipeline. Zooms reasonable too, so optimistic!

Gross = Below Average

Net = Above Average

Vol = Average

Zooms down but then again, most of the sales over the last 6 months seem to be from images that weren't zoomed?!?

Overall, 2014 is approaching double that of 2013 in terms of volume and $'s....not to bad then.

Not as warm as July. Occasionally windy but some opportunities for fishing anyway. Frees-box filed with mackerel and cod :) .

6 sales that grossed up much less then one average sale for 6 years ago.

And, well, this 6 sales would hardly buy me 6 mackerels  :(
