Yup, I've been wasting too much time on it, too.  The best solution that I can come up with is that it's a Getty image (even though I can't find it there, either!) wrongly attributed to Alamy.  It appears on multilple Websites, one of which gives the credit as: Pixland/Pixland/Getty Images.  Time to move on...

Hi, 

 

I recently received a coffee table book as a gift that has many pictures from Alamy photographers in it.  The book is entitled "Off the Tourist Trail: 1,000 Unexpected Travel Alternatives" and published by Dorling Kindersley.

If you scroll to page 336 in the preview pages, you'll see the Alamy photographers listed there.  You'll want to increase the magnification: the font is tiny!

 

Thanks for pointing this out Felix. I see many blurry Alamy Images listed in the credits. I can only make out that the back cover is Alamy Images: Blaine Harrington lll.

Many thanks for posting this list - you did a nice job!    As I am one of the contributors on it, I was interested to have a look, and asked about it in our local Waterstones (Bookshop)

 

The lady in the bookshop checked on her PC and said that it was no longer obtainable.    She gave me the ISBN 9780756653996.    Checking this on Amazon, they do have new copies but this ISBN is for the latest printing in 2013, while the book was published in 2009.    So it is still available, but if we were paid for the images it would have been 4-5 years ago...
