Kent Johnson
I certainly do and not just stars from evening skies, anything that looks like a suspect pixel I just get rid of it. Is anyone else this aggressive in the QC prep of their photos? What do you do for clean-up?
Harry Harrison
Not quite on topic but I remove distant birds if I think that QC or the buyer might think they are sensor spots. Back in 1991 not very far from here there was a project to re-introduce the Red Kite which were practically extinct in most of the country. It has been such a great success that I could probably look out the window and see one now up in the trees. These are very big birds, you can literally see them for miles and I once removed over 50 from a particular landscape view. I felt bad doing it though, mind you they're still on the RAW file thanks to Lightroom's non-destructive editing. Hi Harry, I remove birds too (for the same reason) - It's just that today I was deleting stars... Thanks for the reply, I'm looking forward to hearing from more photographers on this. Mr Standfast
If i see something that "draws attention" then it will likely go. Usually flying insects.

Steve F
I remove birds if they're blurred, unwanted, or so far away they look like random dots. And corners of buildings or lamposts if they encroach into the shot near the top due to converging verticals. I leave stars in: Edited October 27 by Steve F
Jeffrey Isaac Greenberg
11 hours ago, Kent Johnson said: I remove birds too... I had QC fail for exactly this reason but I reported to them that they were special dust spots capable of migrating, singing, gathering twigs to build nests... 1
Mark Scheuern
I once cloned out Sylvester Stallone.
Michael Ventura
I remove anything that can be construed as dust and not a recognizable object that helps the image.
Chuck Nacke
Anything that is not part of the context or the image, distracting, etc., I would remove or darken. Chuck

I've removed birds that are just a bit of a tiny, distracting blob or spot. I've also removed things like a bit of branch poking in from the side that is distracting. 1

Menyhert
No, I just leave stars in the picture. Never had a problem with QC. I usually remove birds, though. What I sometimes do is select the sky in lightroom and run it through a noise filter.
Number Six
Most of the time I'm just removing birds and insects, but I've also removed short stretches of contrails plus anything intruding into the picture from a 'non-visible' source (eg, branches).
