How was your September 2024

Recommended Posts

Chuffed am I?  I am.  Strong month, it were;

2nd best in 11 most recent months;

$5261 gross, 139 items; (40-45% net)

2024 now guaranteed to be better than 2023

& chance of being better than 2022 + 2020…

Evidencing that 2023 might be

“The Year that Stock Photography Bottomed Out”

Steve you might want to check the caption for this image, doesn't look very appetising 😁

Thanks Martin. I’ve changed it now, and started on the keywords. It must have been a stray selection tick 🙂

83 for $1118. Another 'OK' month, but too many 'OK' months look like resulting in the first of the years with Alamy not being greater than the previous year.

A good month for me.

18 sales for $348 gross, $134 net (38% commission)

Views 3,844 but zooms only 14 (CTR 0.39%) with 6,200 images on sale

I notice CTR% for All of Alamy is lower than usual suggesting zooms were not being recorded correctly.

Also got £199 net from DACS (direct claim) slightly up on last year

Also got 2 POD sales via another site

Mark 🙂

4 - one mid $$, the other 3 only a few $ each

As of the end of September my sales volume is slightly less than half of what it was last year and worse, revenue is only 31% of last year's, making this my worst year since 2020.  At least I'm still at the 40% level but really struggling to stay positive this late in the year. Of course, I'm overdue for a $$$ license so I can hope for the best.

DACS had a question for me which I missed as I took a pseudo-break from screens while traveling much of this month, so not sure how I'll do there. I've now responded and hopefully I'll know in a few days. Usually somewhere in the high $$ after HMRC takes its cut and after the foreign exchange rate.

On the plus side, a small outstanding balance cleared so an Alamy payment will be arriving this month.
