Hi Everyone,

If you missed the webinar yesterday, you can now catch up and watch the recording here:

Shattering Stereotypes: A Deep Dive into Inclusive Content Creation - Alamy Blog

The webinar was packed with in-depth analysis and discussion on understanding the importance of representation, diversity and authenticity in the stock photo industry, with insights from the expertise of Christina Vaughan (Founder of the photo agency Cultura Creative), DeSean Brown, (Co-founder and CRO of photo agency pocstock) and Tiffany Thompson, Sports Photographer and designer, hosted by James Allsworth, Head of Content at Alamy.

This is essential viewing if you're a photographer and wondering what the recent trends are in commercial imagery of people (in both style and different regional markets), with real life examples, and tips on how to enter and navigate the stock content market.

Thanks

Sophie

Thanks for sharing.

I do have a question and wonder will it be answer here too?

Let's say I am shooting a subject of diversity focusing on "India tourist traveling in Singapore". But the search result shown a wide range of subject of Little India (a popular venue) in Singapore. How do I separate the perspective to get the correct search result? I definitely need caption/keywords such as India, Indian, tourists, tourist, Singapore etc. Hope someone can share. :)

This isn't the sort of diversity they mean. It's not the same as variety. But the answer to your question is that you don't use "india" as a separate tag, just "little india". It won't completely stop your SG images appearing in searches for "india", but it will push them lower down.
