keywording translate: caixa pagament en kioscs

Recommended Posts

Catalan Barcelona fast food sign over counter;
google = “checkout cash payment kiosks”
confused since kiosks don’t handle cash?;
kiosk = touch screen ordering AFAICT;
or does it only say order at kiosk?
thanks in advance…

To me this would mean go to the kiosk to pay. That is where all the money is handled.

if kiosk = counter ≠ interactive touch screen

then yes that makes more sense...

That would be my interpretation. The serving staff don't handle money  - you go to the kiosk/counter where a dedicated member of staff deals with all the payments.

And no expectation that you leave a tip!

At our shopping centers/malls in the USA, especially at holiday times, there are small kiosks set up in the middle of the wide halls. Some sell sunglasses, others body lotions, or leather goods, toys, you name it. The sellers take the money. A few of the sellers are aggressive as we walk by. Most aren’t. Many are of East Indian descent & other nationalities. I’ve bought things. Some of the goods are exotic & fascinating. I like the kiosks, I usually hesitate long enough to see if a particular stand has something I’m interested in.

I think kiosks are both the kind Betty described above and also the small-ish machines that are automated like the kind you can use, at an airport, where you can tag your luggage and get a boarding pass.

Except for my run to pick up pizza today & thing like that, I never go anywhere, Michael, so I wouldn’t know about those! 😊
