But interesting viewpoint, good lighting and sky, and people in the image for a change. I absolutely tried, but the resulting "correction" made a portion of the image blurry. Any closer then people would've been out of the shot entirely since they were in the shade closer to me. Any higher then a huge portion of the church would've been obscured by the tree. I'm getting somewhere at least, thank you.

spacecadet
"Passagem" (Passages) 1990-94, Cor-Ten steel and glass memorial to Walter Benjamin, philosopher, 1982-1940, by Dani Karavan, 1930-2021, Portbou, Girona province, Catalunya. Globe Theatre, Stockton-on-Tees, 1935. Sometimes you get lucky- car crossing Warkworth ford on the River Coquet, Northumberland. Not visible on the comp, the driver is doing thumb-up and his passenger is giggling like a schoolgirl. We didn't try this. The crossing, not the giggling. A trip boat en route to Coquet Island to see puffins, Amble harbour. We did try this, with success, but photographs are another matter. Michael Ventura
Late last week I had to make a quick trip up to Long Island, New York for the celebration of life for my fave uncle who lived a full life to 98! A WWII veteran and later a California politician (we don't hold that against him) and just a brilliant man. My whole life I heard how we are related, somewhat closely, to the Roosevelts, so I had to make a quick stop at Sagamore Hill, the home of President Teddy Roosevelt. The Roosevelt residence is just a few miles from my maternal family's cemetery. My first time there and it was crazy to see headstones dating back to the early 1700's with my mother's maiden name, Weekes, on most of them. The Weekes came from England and landed at and settled in Oyster Bay, NY, in the early 1600s. My history buff son really enjoyed learning about his lineage and so great to see so many of my cousins.
