Jansos
I’m hoping someone might be able to explain why my CTR is so low but my monthly sales are averaging out at about 30 on a regular ish basis. Any ideas? Seems to be an anomaly somewhere.
Steve F
Your title was total clickbait Jansos!! I got all excited at the deep insights you were going to provide. Anyway, CTR is partially linked to sales, as in, it helps determine where your images are in client searches. But it is not directly linked to sales. Over half of my sales are not zoomed. My CTR is also not doing amazingly, but my monthly license numbers are much more stable than my CTR graph below: 1
wiskerke
If you want a reliable number over the years try views divided by sales. Views are usually reported correctly unless the whole of Measures is down. wim

Is that number of total views since starting with Alamy divided total sales? Or is it on a year by year basis? Allan

I don't get why zooms are used to measure our CTR when I suppose the majority of potential buyers are looking at images on a large monitor with no need to zoom. The low number of zooms compared to sales I see seems to back this theory up.

Plus those numbers are actually comparable. However it's views this year/sales this year. Or views this week/sales this week. That's a bit silly of course. But month will work. A quarter is better and year to year is better still. But it is totally useful to compare a year with your last month. Even current year to date. wim
