I’m not a landscape snapper, I’m interested in the streets and will happily shoot under any conditions, be it storm clouds or blazing mid day sun. Guess that may leave some purists foaming at the mouth. The last sunrises I have taken must have been 20 years or so back. They involved leaving Buckinghamshire very early for a drive to just past Newcastle, to St. Mary's Island Lighthouse to setup for a glorious sunrise. After the tide went out I shot the lighthouse again in good light, with its reflection in a nearby rock pool. Both sold at at exhibitions for good money, but it was a real pain cutting custom mounts and framing, only to find a spot of dust was behind the glass. It's not only sensors that attract dust. DIY framing increased the profit though. I've no sunrise/sunsets on Alamy. Edited August 30, 2022 by sb photos
Betty LaRue
If I had an accessible lighthouse, I’d get up before dawn-30 too. Love lighthouses.
