These are effectively PU so I don't buy that the market forced Alamy to license these for ever. The Dunes in 1992, demolished 1993. I was lucky to get it then. Last trip to the US. The movie that should come to mind is an early 1980s movie called "Somewhere in Time" with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour, they used this hotel as it's primary set. Loved that movie. They have a Jane Seymour guest room that is decorated as it was in the movie.
spacecadet
That was the Timberline Lodge in Oregon, plain weatherboard timber and tile in a pioneer rustic style, later covered in snow, and only in the credits. The rest was a set at Elstree. The interior was based on the Awahnee at Tahoe. Kubrick didn't travel.

VbFolly
Mid/low $$, book use, UK. Happy to get off the mark this month at last. This photo was licenced last May, and refunded in September. I assumed the book project had been cancelled, so it's a nice surprise to see it reappear this morning for just a dollar less (of course, I only get 40% now).

If memory serves me right I have had two sales of one image to the same buyer in the same week, even on the same day, in the distant past.
