A question for ALAMY re Measures

Recommended Posts

ALAMY HAS NAILED IT AGAIN !!!

This time with Alamy measures.

Instead of updating this tool early in the morning, as it should be (according to my way of thinking, being on the positive side of things),

what they do by updating it LATE, LATE in the evening (IF EVER)?

Mainly - reducing drinking early in the morning because of the results - positive or negative, of despair or of excitement!

It's way way better to have your precious tea LATE, LATE in the evening - WHAT A RELIEF !!!, no matter of the end result...

Peace!

Not only are Measures still playing up, but simple keyword searches of the database are sometimes taking much longer than normal, which is more concerning as that could affect sales.

and no one is able to give any explanation, are they playing a dead beetle?

"We are aware of the Problem, and have passed it own to our IT team which is looking into the issue"

(should also add ..."at some point they will do a patch that will resolve it temporarily but fail to address the fact this has been going on for over a year" )

Who knows when Measures will be working again. If it was an issue effecting sales it would likely have been resolved by now.

As mentioned above, Alamy Measures is always falling over and likely the core issue causing it is never resolved. Wether due to technical issues or budgetary restrictions who knows.

News images taken on 21st September remain in news feed for 2 days. Then they fall into a black hole and not visible on 24th September. Where are they Alamy?

my images from 20th finally made it today so it seems 4 days.  for some subject may warrant again uploading it through stock  immediately to not have gaps.

Don’t think that will help. Stock uploads are also delayed in being on sale. Very annoying.

Mine hasn’t updated for three days. No views, zooms, sales or any other info.

And now we are into the weekend the situation worsens. Hopefully measures will be updated before the end of the month.

The company is probably in full crisis management mode over the rebilling debacle / fiasco / scandal (delete as you deem appropriate) so fixing Measures is likely a low priority at the moment. I can't see the rebilling issue being as limited as has been suggested, and it probably requires work from the IT crowd.

though this may be correct to some extent, the issue with measures has been going on for much longer, and it seems Alamy has never been able to find what the source is, and all they do every time is a quick patch to make people believe it is under control, and not address the issue, nor communicate with the contributors.
