The seaside has never been my thing; I can't swim, I don't like laying in the sand, and isn't the seaside where those saltwater crocs, hungry gators, and venomous sea snakes hangout? So I usually approach my sea snaps with a long lens.

Don't forget the jelly fish.

A photo sandwich. The guy was in Hawaii.

The landmark Public Market in Seattle.

There’s something magical about the sea. In spite of nearly drowning while snorkeling in the Caribbean, (then saw a small shark while swimming to the boat) I was back in the water snorkeling the next morning. And here I am, land locked.

Decided to enter just to give you all a laugh.  When I think of the seaside it always conjours up people having fun or a relaxing time by the sea and that is how these images were selected.

A couple of seaside pictures with a current affairs theme, and one atmospheric one.

Rockhoppers for the win.....  lovely capture.

Thank you. They are lots of fun to watch. Those feet are meant for hopping up rocky cliffs. They nest near the albatross and that protects their eggs from predators. Smart little characters but they always look annoyed.

My three.

2. Family fun at Clevedon Marine Lake.  (It was closed the day after 'cos of water quality issues...)

3. A traditional seaside Cafe Menu window.  Oxford Corner Cafe in weston, now been closed for a couple of years. The variety of menu's show how they were desparately hanging on, I find the "chicken nuggets" hand written addition to the childrens menu to be poignant, the menu must have been sign written before chicken nuggets were "a thing".
