Current cleared balance reduced by 80$ for me.

Email from Alamy : "We’re not sure why this has happened, we’ll ask our team to look into it and get back to you when we have further information"

Hopefully just weird system glitch

Hi all,

We're aware of a technical issue and we're working to fix it asap - apologies for the confusion.

Kind regards,

Its probhably going to be blamed on Covid, The Heat, Drought warnings, Passing herd of Buffalo in the office, Ransom ware attack. I'm down to 19 from 26 cleared yesterday, not as worrying as some folks.🙄

Perhaps while Alamy are looking for the missing cleared balances, they might at the same time look down the back of the sofa and see if any sales have dropped down there. I do seem to be a few short this month....

now i'm curious.  It seems this was news to Alamy by the time we enquired.  My message was half way through business day in the UK.  Does that mean if it wasn't for us the major issue would have gone undetected, the same us Alamy is cutting salaries by 20% in 3 days?

Yeah, I had the same thing. Searched for "uncleared", read this thinking it was an old thread, but appears to be an issue with a few other contributors. I imagine a particular customer didn't actually make their payments. Possibly an accounting error.

Same here, balance went from $47 to $11.

Looked back to January this year but no refunds showing.

Sent email to Alamy and got "We’re just checking this with our finance team to see why your funds have dropped. We’ll get back to you once we have more information."

Hopefully be back to normal tomorrow.

John.

I wrote yesterday that the cleared balance was $ 262 and was reduced to $ 69, Today the value returned to $ 257.
The boys seem to have solved this "technical issue" overnight. Starting a new contract with a loss of $ 200 would be another annoying fact. I would like to be surprised by something positive in the future, but that is probably just a pious wish

Mine hasn't gone up. Do I have to contact Alamy? I was expecting everyone to have the amount corrected.

For me the balance was restored to the correct amount automatically. I'd identified the sale which had lost its cleared payment as one made on 28th May 2021 and originally cleared on 12th July. I've checked that transaction this morning and the cleared date is again showing 12th July.

I'm a little surprised more people who posted in the early part of this thead haven't reported in to say if their balance has been restored to the correct amount. Also, Alamy haven't given any further update, all of  which makes me wonder if the issue isn't yet fully resolved. You might want to keep an eye on this thread for further news, or you could always contact Alamy to see what is going on?
