Contagious cancer may cause Tasmanian devils to become antisocial

Antisocial Tasmanian Devils we can well do without.😮

Yes, well they don't have the best table manners and apparently sometimes bite one another while feeding on carcasses, which is believed to be one way the facial tumour disease can spread. From the article it looks like they become antisocial if they have the disease, which might actually help reduce the spread of the disease. Before meeting some in Tasmania I thought they were scary, aggressive animals, but wildlife park staff said they are actually pretty shy in the wild (e.g. they are not going to launch a sudden, random attack on you). I actually got to pat a female devil who seemed very gentle and had very soft fur. She had cataracts and poor eyesight and I think was chosen for patting because she was gentle. I still certainly wouldn't put my hand anywhere near a devil that might latch on with their super strong jaws!

Thanks, davidhu. Looks like this may well be my first sale under the revised (revoked and removed) UKNS. Expecting huge volumes of pennies to winging my way soon. :)

After much searching, I have had to concede defeat on the one image in this article ... maybe the author will recognise it !!

It's available on A***e stock. Can't see it here. Maybe just an error in the tagline?

I'm not convinced it's a mistake. I have had one of mine published in the mail from today's news that was again just attributed to alamy. I thought I recognised it then had to double check to make sure. I don't know why they aren't attributing the contributor as well.

The BBC and Sun normally only credit Alamy, probably others as well.

Contributors are generally only credited in The Times if their pseudo appears within the image description, which normally means a live news contribution. This is not always the case however, occasionally live news contributors are not credited. I don't know if there is a legal obligation involved here or just custom and practice.
