Maybe my last sale of the month...unless a PU comes in tomorrow.  The head of NIH, Dr Francis Collins.  For a U.K. magazine, for low to mid $$.

You’ve posted his picture here before, haven’t you, Michael. I’ve heard him interviewed on news shows and couldn’t remember where else I’d seen him. Now I realize it was here.

Hi Cecile, yes, this one and a vertical frame has sold before.  He’s a super smart and nice man.  Before taking the helm of the National Institutes of Health, he ran the Human Genome Project, where they successfully mapped the whole human DNA sequence. This was originally taken for a magazine article.

Congratulations on your photo sales. Wonderful portraits.

It’s possible what I saw had to do with the Human Genome Project and DNA sequencing. On a personal level (adopted as an infant) it’s been an interest of mine for the past several years.

An extremely rare distributor sale popped in last night. I don't allow Personal Use sales, and for some reason Alamy state that if you put a restriction of no PU licences, then you may lose out on distributor sales. This was for a magazine use in the Netherlands...

I always assume that the short licence applies to the print use and the longer to the web.

Thank you Wim.

It was in an editorial magazine in the Netherlands, print run 10,000. Dated 1st September. Also in digital format too.

I have a portrait version of the same scene too. Intention was for book cover use. Both have been licenced several times over the years, but not for book use !

I don't think I've had a UK television sale before.  Happy that my mom's needlepoint will be on TV!  If someone happens to see this on the telly (likely around Christmas), would you let me know?

Thanks so much Dave!  My mom's cross-stitch made it to television,  wow.  She passed away last year so knowing her work appeared on the telly makes me happy.
