Paul Thompson Images 37 Posted October 23, 2013 I've just noticed an Alamy tweet from yesterday entitled "Congrats David Lyons! His image has won the Your View category in Landscape Tog of the year 2013" I think the winners are well worth a look. They all seem hyperlinks and can't see how to copy the link to the slideshow here - can someone help out? These are great pictures.
losdemas 1,975 Posted October 23, 2013 (edited) The link to the Telegraph slideshow and the winners on the Take-a-View site (Landscape photographer of the year). Well done, David Lyons, BTW - that's a pretty damned dramatic picture. Edited October 23, 2013 by losdemas
milouvision 7 Posted October 23, 2013 Congrats to all. I was the winner of that category last year and the runner-up this year with Hebridean Sea III: Hebridean Sea III by milouvision, on Flickr
Paul Thompson Images 37 Posted October 23, 2013 Thanks Danny - must get my IT skills updated. Milouvision - wow. I'm usually more a "yes, but has it sold?" sort of guy but I've really enjoyed these pictures - and this one is a beaut. Is there still a link to last years competition? losdemas 1,975 Posted October 23, 2013 I'll echo Paul's thoughts on that - a lovely photo, Milouvision - and well done on your success. Looking at the first couple of pages of your port., many seem to have a similar feel and I can't but think along the same lines ("yes, but has it sold?"). Really don't seem like your standard stock to me - more POD sites, competitions (salons) and galleries. I'm sure that you are doing well in those areas - at least I do hope so! milouvision 7 Posted October 23, 2013 Thanks. I run a photoblog rather than a portfolio site (although I have the 'essence' of two projects at: http://www.dbphotographic.com). After exhibiting at http://mastersofvision.co.uk/ in August, I have a book due out next month: http://seafeverbook.co.uk/

ann 308 Posted February 13, 2014 Milouvision, what a great idea to include that view of book, with barely enough of person to do the job - informative and eye-catching! - Ann
milouvision 7 Posted February 13, 2014 Thanks. That person is Dav Thomas, the book's designer - http://peaklandscapes.com/ - who had the first book with the publisher http://withtrees.co.uk/ Had a nice review from Bruce Percy: http://www.brucepercy.co.uk/blog/2014/01/26/turner-esque/
