Generally speaking, images that might be used in books (e.g. textbooks and travel guides), to illustrate articles in magazines and newspapers, or on editorial websites. This type of imagery does best on Alamy. I'd say that most of your recent images fit the editorial category, the earlier landscapes, etc., not so much (you never know, though).

Is this as opposed to abstraction, fine art or personal expression? I think I am intuiting what you mean. Though I have to point out that the California 2019 Super Bloom was a major news event, possibly the biggest superbloom in history (we get them about once in a decade, but this exceeded previous ones). The search term "super bloom california 2019" is getting the second most overall zooms of all my keywords (Elizabeth Warren is the first). I probably should have included more people in the shots though and that was when I was under the impression that uploading as many shots as possible was better. Thanks for noticing my page!

I think you're right though. These photos are all better than mine, mostly.  https://www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2019/03/21/californias-super-bloom-is-best-years-so-vibrant-it-can-be-seen-space/?noredirect=on

I hadn't heard about the super bloom phenomenon. In that case, your images could very well be used editorially. Sorry about that...
