Autumn Sky 367
Icy pathway by Bow River in Canmore, Alberta during deep freeze couple of winters ago. Low $$$ This pic has been lying down several years without download anywhere & I thought it would never sell but what do you know. Incidentally, we have weekend forecast for 50cm of snow, I wonder if that had anything to do with a sale?
Bill Brooks 1,326
RF editorial only.$$$ A 50% Alamy sale directly to a French client for full page in a French language book, print and/or e-book. No sharing commission with a stinking international French subagent. GO ALAMY GO. The takeover of valuable farmland by suburban sprawl is a constant environmental soft news complaint in Ontario, so I have amassed a collection of images on that subject. I am now looking for a tractor plowing a field in the space occupied by the hay bales in this image. When I stumble across that better scene, I will be ready. Yes, I'm sure you'll make plenty of sales with this shot over the years (though I'm aching to 'disappear' the hand on far left with the clone tool!)

Well, it's selling already, so no problem. But, even though the hand is so small, I find it really distracting. I'd be tempted to 'zap' it - and straighten up the vertical bars - and upload it to replace the earlier version. Or am I being too picky??

I disagree. Alamy doesn't require an image to be declared as editorial only. It's not news and it's not Reuters. Tidying up a pic is fine if it's declared- there's a box for that in AIM, although I'm not sure this would count as "digitally manipulated". Cropping would compromise the composition a bit. John Mitchell 4,657
One of a pair of $ PU sales that showed up yesterday (Saturday). Prices were some of the lowest I've seen for PU . They appear to be direct sales. However, the usage terms are in Spanish. Not sure how that would affect Alamy prices, though. They also have the odd five-year duration, which doesn't seem to make sense for PU.
