Really difficult to see with the shallow water reflections, but it looks like it could have the spots of an Eagle Ray? Admittedly , they are usually much more distinctive than this, tho'.

Thanks but I don't think so, it had no spots. I remember doing extensive research back then but drawing a blank.

It must be a rare case of Latin name not being necessary as it's the second pic in a series that sold. It's a local tourist attraction. The rays are attracted to fishermen and swim to you on the beach. A bit unsettling when you're neck deep in water and they rub against you.

IBIS and the ability to shoot clean images at high ISO's has really changed things. It's so great to be able to get images like this. Beautiful detail in this shot Rick!

Thanks @Marianne,  It helps to have a 45MP sensor for the detail.  LOL

Finally got my third of the month.  This one was "zoomed" about two months ago.  Near Cades Cove in the Great Smokey Mountains, in Eastern Tennessee.  Nice $$, RF but no mention of how it's to be used in the U.S. region.

Distributor sale to Brazil for low $$ ($ nett)

Firming the compost around the bare roots of an Autumn potted rose Stock Photo

My aging hands at work firming the compost around the bare roots of an Autumn potted rose.  I shot a small sequence of potting up a new rose for my wife and two have sold to date so a worthwhile investment of my time.

I have to replant an aloe plant that has broken its pot it has gotten so large (and is also doing poorly since we were out of town to boot) - great idea for something to shoot. I haven't tried out the timer on my Sony yet, so a good excuse. I'll put my old hands to work LOL. Perhaps it will pay for the bag of potting soil eventually? I really need to experiment with some self-portrait type work, something I'm reluctant to do, but this seems like a place to start.

Thanks for the inspiration!

Yes, as per Spacecadet above, this is a cuttlefish. There are lots of different types and sizes. In Australia, we also get the largest cuttlefish, Sepia Apama.

Thanks folks, although when I had budgies, they didn't have cuttlefishes which looked like that!
