Dear all

I'm a bit snowed under at the moment so I'll have to finish my stint checking The Times each day, but if anyone else would like to take over, feel free 👍

Very respectful of you not to post a phone pic of it! Professional courtesy and all that.

That's because my phone is an old Nokia, about 8 or 9 years old. Still working well...... ie. it makes phone calls and not much else !

I do have a more modern phone tho, but don't use it as a phone ! it's from the US, and I just use it as a mobile computer when away from home, with the free WiFi in the hotel.  Times are hard you know..

Thanks! It was picked up on here a few months back.

Of course, I bought the book but haven't read it yet.

The image is DHMD88, some scruffy peeling wallpaper from when I was renovating my house.

I've been [selfishly] searching out Notting Hill Carnival images with no joy. It's not the first time that I've noticed that from an event of which the online news agencies use bucket-loads of pictures that Alamy has lost out, despite the quality and speed of upload. I'm not sure whether there's a conclusion to be made, but it's frustrating after all the work especially in such demanding circumstances.

Thank you. Large update there on the Sun page that I missed, most though taken on the Sunday which looks like it may be the better day to visit. Something to note for next year.
