I prefer Tineye, but that is limited to 50 searches per day. I use both. Sometimes neither search engine will find the image, they tend not to like severe crops, or mirror image usage etc.

I'm not sure, but I think the question is more about whether the searches are successful rather than not working at all. I've thought for a long time that search engines are no longer capable of finding the image or information you're looking for due to the sheer size of the internet.

The reason i asked is that when i do a reverse search, using Chrome, i no longer find any photos, even on past photos that have turned before.

Same here - returning less and less positive hits these days even for those that were previously showing up.
