They didn't chew nylon stockings! I think back in 1066 a lot of you were in fact peasants, while my ancestors over in Sligo were working towards becoming peasants.

Don't you call us peasants Ed - just because you've booked your new flat.........'twas ever thus - I can just remember those wealthy GI's in the mid 1940's.......chewing gum, nylon stockings - the buggers even had chocolate !

I never knew that. GI wore nylons....

Tonight the trust was on TV asking £40,000 a year rent for a house on an island on Derwentwater - plus, of course, detailed checks on the intended renter to make sure they are the kind of person who will appreciate the art, furniture etc.
