The easy bit - it's a bee.

Beyond that is quite hard, but I'd say maybe a species of Miner Bee - possibly the Hairy Legged Miner Bee - but identifying individual species is notoriously difficult

Thanks for looking Phil. Bee it definitely is, it's possible to see the two pairs of wings. I considered the hairy footed flower bee, but could not see the ginger hairs on the tarsal of the third leg.

 

Any other thoughts?
