  1. Greetings everyone. Been an active stock photographer on other platforms, I am a new contributor to Alamy. Recently I got confused as I didn't find a button or link to add image(s) to an existing submission. An amateur landscape/cityscape photographer, usually I would shoot around 100+ photos in raw format every time going outdoors. Then I would post-process, classify and upload them with several times in a slow pace. It's quite inconvenient being unable to supplement a submission. Can anyone tell me how to add images to an existing submission in the Alamy image manager portal? Thanks.
  2. My browser crashed when I was submitting my 3 test photos, and it apparently only submitted 1/3 and I can't go back and upload the other 2. Is there a way to reset my "Test Photo" submission, or do I have to wait the 48 hours to try again?
  3. Hi everyone, I'm new here, I've got a problem here, I can't upload my photos because the .jpeg size is less than 17Mb, but when I turn the format into .tiff format, the size is more than 17Mb (You cn say it's arround 30-50 mb) but I can't upload it. Can you guys tell me and help me how to upload my photo? Thank you.
  4. Hi there folks, So I recently joined Alamy and was raring to get some photos up, I had looked through the guides and FAQ and was pretty sure my photos would be good enough to go up on the site. I made my first submission of my three best images and eagerly awaited an e-mail, none came. I seen on the site that QC were away on holidays so there might be a backlog, okay I said and waited. No email still so I signed into Alamy and discover my images were rejected but I got no email either way as I was supposed to which annoyed me. The first image failed as it was soft or lacking definition I am only an amateur so I don't really understand exactly what they mean and thought okay maybe try something better, anyway underneath it stated the camera was unsuitable and that's what grinds my gears, its a Olympus VG120 14 megapixels I done some research and with it having a 1/2.3'' sensor and being 14 megapixels I thought it was adequate. So i find myself asking what to do am I just wasting my time because my camera will never be ''good'' enough and therefore should close my account? Any opinions or help welcome, I don't mean it if my tone sounds off in this post I am just a little bit disheartened by it all was really getting a buzz because I honestly thought all was good and I bothered to do some research its just a bit overwhelming for an amateur with all the technicalities. I would add the image in question to my post only I don't know how. Thanks Larry
  5. Hey everyone, I submitted my 3 photos to start, and of course it was rejected. There was an explanation saying "Soft or lacking definition," and "digital camera not suitable." My camera is a Sony Cyber Shot 50X zoom DSC-HX400V. Its a nice camera with 24mp photos but I used zoom which softened it, I should not have. I tried to submit 3 new photos without zoom, but it wont accept them. When I get to stage two where you upload, it automatically loads the failed tests instead. I tried 5 times but all the same results. Have I been banned because of my camera? I was looking at a used Nikon D7100 today to buy, but if I spend all that money (I'm a ellementary teacher), will I be able to upload the photos if my account has a ban or something on it because of my old camera? I love taking photos, and I live in Taiwan with some unique things that may contribute to Alamy. Any help would be appreciated. I bet you head this story a 1,000 times. Thanks, Jennifer Chen-Taiwan
  6. Greetings, New contributor to Alamy.com / we have uploaded our 3 images and passed, and they are on sale and searchable. User ID: ModernPics Web Uploads fail 100% for us / all images just report error Using FileZilla we are able to connect using our email address and password, we see the folders, we click into Stock and upload 4 images / all of them report a successful upload. However, we do not see them in file manager. DSC1495.jp, DSC1757.jpg, DSC1877.jpg and DSC2021.jpg File sizes are 6 megs, 12 megs, 10 megs and 6 megs We LOVE Alamy just need to get started with uploads. PS. I know the 1st report of this was - no issues on your end, however - everything checks out with the suggestions and still cannot upload since yesterday. Honestly perplexed as this should not be a difficult process, we also are a web hosting provider, so we have tried Passive FTP / Active FTP and Auto ... we have tried multiple browsers, clearing cache. Web uploads just report "Error" that is all No issue uploading the 3 required images for QC, which passed and you can see them in the search results on sale. Almost seems that we are not 100% vetted into the system yet? We are very new as of about a week. We just now sent an email to contributors@alamy.com and replied to a response we received from the chat session, however seems that is for buyers / sales. Same issue for 2 days at this point. Thanks for your help in advance!
  7. Newbie question: on the first submission, if you get a rejection message for one image, does this mean that the other three are OK, or could it mean that this was the first one they looked at and they stopped looking as soon as the first one failed?
  8. Hello Alamy and friends, I think it would be helpful to have a note button on the contributor photo upload for notes. For example, in one of my pictures there is a very bird barely descernable that could have been mistaken for a speck of dust. Tell me what you think, Jacob Y.
  9. Hi all and Alamy, we may sometimes mistakenly submit one or two images that are not upto Alamy standard in a batch of hundreds (as I did). If you know you are gonna fail QC but you can't delete or cancel the submitted images other than wait for failure (you already know the reason yourself). Wouldn't it be nice if there is a Cancel Submission button with every batch or submission? we don't want to harm qc history, and it would also save reviewers' time in case unintentional mistake is made with submitting.
  10. Hi, This is my first post here and my question refers to my initial submission to Alamy. I passed the approval process and I just finished keywording my 4 initial images. Is there a next step I need to to do place this photos for sale? Or does that happen automatically after I save all the keywords and all the information fields? Thanks Dom

  13. Hello. New contributor. Is there a way to NOT duplicate my keywording. Or is there a way for my Lightroom IPTC and Keywording to follow my submission from Lightroom, thru its upload? I saw the export plugin and I am looking for a way that does not have a plug in if available
