  1. Hi I'm a new to Stock photography and Alamy, After you have submitted your photos, and they have passed QC, do you khave to keep all the originals youself or can you delete them as they will already be with Alamy. Thankyou
  2. I contribute at a few stock platforms and Alamy is the only one that does QC on a submission/batch level instead on an individual level. So I upload 15 photos, my submission failed, and I have no idea at all why and no idea which photo was the reason for it. How should I learn about that so that I can correct the single photo or leave it out. Now all other photos got rejected as well. From my point of view a very strange approach to do the quality control. One or more images failed QC. This means the remaining images have been rejected without being assessed. I really do not know how to deal with that.
  3. Hi, Does Alamy accept motion imagine and if so what is the process to upload as can't see how to do it from my dashboard? Or is a matter of joining another Library for video? Many thanks Tom
  4. Hi all and Alamy, we may sometimes mistakenly submit one or two images that are not upto Alamy standard in a batch of hundreds (as I did). If you know you are gonna fail QC but you can't delete or cancel the submitted images other than wait for failure (you already know the reason yourself). Wouldn't it be nice if there is a Cancel Submission button with every batch or submission? we don't want to harm qc history, and it would also save reviewers' time in case unintentional mistake is made with submitting.
  5. Anytime I try uploading my first 3 Stock photos for approval though it shows 3 photos are submitted it ends up appearing as 2 in it's course of processing which is ultimately ultimately unapproved. This is 8th time it's happening. Please help me out. Thanks

  7. I have lost most of my stars in Alamy and want to gain them back. My last several submissions have passed, but I am curious if anyone knows which counts more, batches or individual pictures. Do we get a bigger ding on our rankings because of all the pictures rejected in a batch? Does the algorithm say , "Oh, we just rejected one batch, so that's a point off of Susan," or does it say, "We just rejected 20 images, so that's 20 points off Susan?" I saw a recommendation somewhere to submit in small batches. If I submit many one or two picture batches that pass, will I gain my stars back more quickly? Does anyone know? Thanks for any insight.
  8. Hello Everyone:) This is a repeat of a question I posted this last Saturday... How many times does one have to submit 3 photos to be approved by Alamy Quality Control? I have the email from Alamy, sent to me on August 22nd approving my 3 photos & welcoming me to Alamy - I took that to mean that I'd passed the test. But maybe not...? I've looked through the site & have not found any info - I will be the first to admit I might have overlooked something though:) Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Elizabeth - aka tinyninjacat
  9. Greetings everyone. Been an active stock photographer on other platforms, I am a new contributor to Alamy. Recently I got confused as I didn't find a button or link to add image(s) to an existing submission. An amateur landscape/cityscape photographer, usually I would shoot around 100+ photos in raw format every time going outdoors. Then I would post-process, classify and upload them with several times in a slow pace. It's quite inconvenient being unable to supplement a submission. Can anyone tell me how to add images to an existing submission in the Alamy image manager portal? Thanks.
  10. My browser crashed when I was submitting my 3 test photos, and it apparently only submitted 1/3 and I can't go back and upload the other 2. Is there a way to reset my "Test Photo" submission, or do I have to wait the 48 hours to try again?
  11. Hi everyone, I'm new here, I've got a problem here, I can't upload my photos because the .jpeg size is less than 17Mb, but when I turn the format into .tiff format, the size is more than 17Mb (You cn say it's arround 30-50 mb) but I can't upload it. Can you guys tell me and help me how to upload my photo? Thank you.
  12. Hi there folks, So I recently joined Alamy and was raring to get some photos up, I had looked through the guides and FAQ and was pretty sure my photos would be good enough to go up on the site. I made my first submission of my three best images and eagerly awaited an e-mail, none came. I seen on the site that QC were away on holidays so there might be a backlog, okay I said and waited. No email still so I signed into Alamy and discover my images were rejected but I got no email either way as I was supposed to which annoyed me. The first image failed as it was soft or lacking definition I am only an amateur so I don't really understand exactly what they mean and thought okay maybe try something better, anyway underneath it stated the camera was unsuitable and that's what grinds my gears, its a Olympus VG120 14 megapixels I done some research and with it having a 1/2.3'' sensor and being 14 megapixels I thought it was adequate. So i find myself asking what to do am I just wasting my time because my camera will never be ''good'' enough and therefore should close my account? Any opinions or help welcome, I don't mean it if my tone sounds off in this post I am just a little bit disheartened by it all was really getting a buzz because I honestly thought all was good and I bothered to do some research its just a bit overwhelming for an amateur with all the technicalities. I would add the image in question to my post only I don't know how. Thanks Larry
