  3. Forum structure

There are 4 main sections to the Alamy forum: 1. "Alamy Quality control and technical queries" - this will be devoted to understanding QC, reasons for failure, allowing failed images to be posted up so an independent view can be given. Plus this topic will be for questions related to photography, cameras and software inc Photoshop and scanning etc. 2. "Ask the Forum" - anyone with a question related to Alamy or the Stock Industry can ask it here and hopefully get an answer from a well informed fellow photographer. 3. "Let's talk about pics" - purely to talk about and share images, portfolio critique, inspire and general positivity. 4. "Suggestions, comments and feedback" - here you can give feedback on the forum structure and/or Alamy in general. We will read all comments posted. The forum is moderated and any posts that do not fit into the above criteria may be removed. Many thanks Alamy
  4. Do not expect to get answers to your questions from Alamy or engage in discussion directly with Alamy through the forum. We will post and reply from time to time, but ultimately the forum is for contributors to spark debate and find answers from each other, not Alamy. Posting meaningless threads, one word or short posts that do not make sense should be avoided. Posts or topics that promote or highlight direct competitors to Alamy will be removed. Use the search function before posting. Your question may have already been answered or your point may have already been discussed. Do not post anything libellous, defamatory or in any way unlawful. You will be held responsible for any comments you post. Use common sense when posting. Keep your posts mature and fact based. Treat each other with respect. Profanity and insults will not be tolerated. Do not post off topic and keep your posts to the correct forum. Spamming, trolling and advertising is not allowed. This includes misuse of the personal message feature. Promoting or linking to your own forum or any third party photography forums is prohibited. Only one login and user name is allowed per person. Alamy take no responsibility for the comments or opinions posted by individuals outside of Alamy. Alamy reserve the right to remove any posts without notice as we see fit. Alamy reserve the right to monitor personal / direct messages sent between members if required. Alamy reserve the right to delete your membership to the forum at any time, and ban you from registering again in the future should any of these rules be broken. This will not effect your Alamy contributor membership. While these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently Alamy reserve the right to take any actions deemed appropriate to ensure the forum is not disrupted or abused in any way. Please familiarise yourself with these rules and guidelines before posting. This forum will not be actively moderated around the clock so the quality and effectiveness of how it functions relies on the way by which you use it.
