Hi everyone, hope you all are having a wonderful day! I just started this less a month ago and have uploded about 1000 photos, my portfolio only shows 700+ for now as I need to finish adding captions and tags. So far 0 sales and 0 zoom, which is totally fine, as I wanna take this slow and make it right. That's why hope to get some comments and critique from you, and make any adjustment and improvement for future uploads. Here's the link: https://www.alamy.com/portfolio/leesaliens As you might have noticed most of photos are from local area (different places I visited in China), as I started uploading photos from latest shots, then traced back to earlier ones (2020 and 2019...). Due to the pandemic I cannot travel abroad since last year. However when I get even more older ones, my portfolio will include other regions (UK, US, Canada, South Africa...). Thanks for your time and great help! Yang Li

Hey, Hope you all are doing great. So I have been here for a while now but I have not being uploading here regularly. Until about a week ago I had about 600 photos, now on way to hit my first thousand :D. This year has not been that great with only 3 sales so far. In average I get about 2/3 zooms per month with CTR 0.61. So far I have had 49 sales over the last 6 years. I would love to get some feedback (in depth critique, feel free to be as harsh as you like) on my portfolio. https://www.alamy.com/portfolio/muradrm Thank you in advance.

Well, I guess it's about time to have my portfolio reviewed. It's been just over a year since I began uploading regularly. I wanted to feel my way into a bit and actually have something to be reviewed before posting here. I have experimented with photographing various things, and establishing my personal boundaries with regard to choice of subject matter. Decided I didn't want to shoot photos just to sell them, and would only take photos if I found something beautiful in them. See my "Does stock photography change your eye" thread regarding that. I have gone from being a prolific iphone camera hobbyist to investing in a mirrorless Sony a6000 and trying to up my game and perhaps sell a few photos professionally. I do think this practice has evolved my photography and I find it as thrilling as ever to produce and/or edit images on a near daily basis. I give credit to the very generous helpers here in this forum for any and all of my successes. I was sort of "shooting in the dark" there at the beginning. I do not yet have much control over the camera and have relied heavily on auto settings. I continue to ponder where to bring it all next, what to do with my photos, what to shoot and for whom. Let me know if you have any tips or insights, or ideas about how to move forward. Thanks a bunch! Kristin aka The Blinking Eye https://www.alamy.com/portfolio/kristincato

Hi, I am seventeen years old and after taking photos (mainly of wildlife) for several years decided to try Alamy. I have only uploaded about 60 photos but have noticed that I have no zooms per about 160 views so was wondering if there is something I am doing wrong or something to improve on. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi all, I've recently joined as a contributor, and lately I've been uploading some of my previously taken photos. I know that I'm lacking in the volume of images needed, so I will defiantly be uploading more as time goes on. If anyone would like to take a look and critique my photos, tag usage, etc., that would be great! Also, I have a few questions: How long does it usually take to start seeing sales? With what kind of volume of a portfolio does it take to start seeing regular sales. What general types of images sell best? How to get images seen in searches? How to find good keywords? How detailed it too detailed for caption and location? Thank you so much for your help, Josh
