Just noticed this Tweet from Alamy on the Forum homepage: "Don’t add what you think is a spelling mistake someone might make e.g. desert & dessert, our search engine will punish this." What! When did that happen? And where is that in the keywording guidelines? I have long added misspellings and international spellings of words. I hope that Alamy are only referring to instances such as that which they give: Adding dessert as a keyword to a photo of sand dunes is clearly a bad idea and an image of a bowl of Angel Delight won't benefit from sandy or mirage. If so, then that is clearly bl**din obvious, if not, then I'm concerned.
Hey I was curious if there was a way to delete images from a submission once it was submitted. I went to upload my photographs and for some reason there was a long delay in the time from the submission to showing it as trackable, so I thought the images didn't upload and reloaded them. Now it for some reason loaded under the same reference number even though they were done seperately and I know for sure it will be rejected because of the duplicates. Can I resolve this or do I have to wait almost 24 hours just to be told they failed and try it again? Alex
Stokie posted a topic in Stock photography discussion and contributor experienceI've had a Tamron SP AF Di 90mm macro lens for about 6 years and during that time it's produced some brilliant images (on a Canon 5D mk II). However, yesterday, it came up with an error message; "Err1communications between the camera and lens is faulty. Clean the lens contacts" I did as I was told but the error keeps coming up. Anybody had any experience with this sort of thing or will I have to have the lens repaired/replaced? John.
