  1. Regards to fellow photographers. I have been contributing to Alamy since August 2016 and would like to share my Alamy portfolio link with you. https://www.alamy.com/portfolio/437052.html
  2. Hi there, I joined Alamy over a year ago and uploaded about 10 images but never got more involved than that until today :-) Any advice to someone starting out with online stock photos would be much appreciated...my only aim is for non friend's and family to see my photos and maybe make a buck or two down the line. Antony
  3. Greetings from another 'newbie' - although I'm now not sure I'm in the right 'forum area', as I am primarily an illustrator / artist... with photography as a 'side' thingy...
  4. Greetings, Which license would you say is most effective to use on your photos when selling wildlife photos? I am talking about mostly factual, unedited wildlife photography. Many thanks
  5. Is it just me or do other people get wound up when they spot a photo with the wrong identification attached (usually animals in my case)? Surely this can't look good to Alamy's customers who may think us a right bunch of thickos for not being able to tell the difference between a swan and a goose, for example. I know mistakes will happen - I've been responsible for a few which I have tried to correct when aware of them and would welcome all the help I can get from fellow contributors - but is there any easy way for us to flag up these errors so that the photographer responsible can correct their captions and keywords accordingly. Photographers Direct have a flagging system in place which I find useful. What do you all and Alamy think???
  6. hi all, i'm wondering how to setup my wildlife images, if better RM or RF. Animals in general are something which sold better as RM (low volume/high sales) or as RF (high volumes) ? I know every picture is different, so which considerations do you make in order to select the above? 1) Generic image (RF) or more specific image (lion closeup VS lion at the zoo for i.e.) 2) Background which could affect the category (beach portrait VS indoor portrait for i.e.) 3) Selective focus (RF images are often with a larger depth of field) 4) ... what else? thanks in advance
