  1. Dear, I need some help from my fellows... My bank is asking me to provide invoices for my last sale or transactions. How could to I provide that or which ways. I sent them screenshots of my sale history and my Account Balance. But, they are not satisfied with that, they are asking me for my invoice. If anyone can solve this problem or any ideas please share them. Best Regards Jahangir Alam Onuchcha/ Photographer https://www.alamy.com/portfolio/onuchcha
  2. I want to stop the sale of my photos and hide it from the Alamy website(temporarily), without removing its metadata (tags, caption, etc) or deleting the photos. Is this possible? or do i need to just delete them?
  3. Good day! Happy New Year! Not that I'm so greedy, but I want to find out the truth. It often happens that people come directly to me and ask, so to speak, to give them a from one of my photos. The reasons are very different - but mostly financial. Since I myself am not very rich, as a rule, I go to meet the requestor. But recently an interesting incident happened to me. A few weeks ago I have sale one of the photos (Country: Worldwide Usage: Personal use, Impresiones, tarjetas y regalos personales o referencias para artistas. Solo para un uso no comercial; no se pe
  4. Hello All, I am new here. I have recently passed QC test for alamy and uploaded some pics and submit. Can anyone tell me how many images should be there in the port to get the very first sale on alamy. How much we will get paid for one image here? Thanks in Advance,
  5. Hello All, I am new here. I have passed QC in Alamy and now I have around 42 images on sale with good or optimized discoverability. Can anyone look at my portfolio and provide me advice on how to improve? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks In Advance, Prashanv
  6. Hi! Im a brand new contributor to Alamy. (Ive been a photographer for about 5 years now.) My specialty is macro nature photography and landscape. Do you have any tips on how to get your first sale? I know not to expect to make a lot of money on here, but I do want to at least make a couple dollars a week. Here is my portfolio: https://www.alamy.com/portfolio/691013.html
  7. It seems my total revenues on Alamy started to decline as soon as i converted quite all my pics to RF. I only left some pics to RM whose are the ones which sell better at the moment. Anyone experiencing the same?
  8. I had a sale for $200 last October & here it is April & it still hasn't cleared for payment. When I emailed Alamy about it a few months back, all they said was that they have to wait to be paid by the purchaser. Uh, ok. Seems like an awfully long time, though. Meanwhile, I'm disinclined to contribute anymore photos if they're not actually going to pay me what I earn!
  9. Hi all, I just got a notification of a $ 1.27 sale, with a perpetual license... Is that normal? I've seen a few single digit sales lately, but never in the $1 range! Is Alamy now playing in the microstock pool? I don't even see where you can buy my image at that price! Any help would be much appreciated!
  10. Hello dedicated photographers! This topic may have been questioned before long ago. But I need clearer answers based on your own experience, not theoretical one. Is it right RF photos are tend to get more sales than RM these days? Because I saw usual buyers are often from repeater companies, like The Sun, BBC, Guardian, and other media from British and Europe. This makes me assume ordinary buyers from another countries are prefer to buy RF than RM. What do you think? Thanks
  11. Hi I was pretty much dormant here on Alamy since 2007, with 75 images and 2 sales. End of 2017 I decided to try again, with a target plan for 2018 being 1000 images and one sale. I managed to go above and beyond on both, and have now several sales. However, I still don't understand one thing. None of the zooms I had since the end of 2017 resulted in a sale, and equally none of the sales were shown as a zoom (I think both these statements mean the same J ). Can anyone explain this to me? Thank you Pawel
  12. Hi All, I am a photographer for many years, have no problem to pass QC here. I 've accumulated about 5000 images here. most of them have 50 keywords with good caption. But nothing was soled. why ?
  13. Hi everybody, I have got into stock photography about 8 months ago. I have joined Alamy and several other agencies since then. Even though I have made many sales on every single agency I have uploaded to, I still haven't made a single one on Allamy. I have only had 4 zooms in 8 months as well. I don't seem to understand what is the issue? Is it just really hard to sell on here or am I doing something wrong? Thanks to you all!!
  14. Hello everyone: I just got my initial QC clearance. I went and annotated the 3 pictures and after a bit of struggling, I managed to push the Discoverability bar into the green zone. However, my pictures are still not showing for sale. What am I missing? I will really appreciate your help. Thank you. MVS
  15. Hi Everyone Can anyone please take a look at my portfolio and just give me some idea where im going wrong. Ive been submitting now for 2 months and not had one single sale. I sell to other microstock sites and do ok, why I am not getting sales here. Is my portfolio just not good enough or is what I photograph more related to microstock and shall I stop wasting my time submitting here Thank you in advance - Steve
  16. On 19th Feb I saw one of my images used in an article in The Guardian. Hoped to see it show in my account last month. Just checked and it has not appeared. Has anyone got any idea how long sales like this take to show?
  17. Hey everyone, I understand now that payments can take a while to clear (at least 45 days in my experience). I just had a sale pop-up with this information: Country: United Kingdom Usage: Editorial Media: Newspaper - national Print run: up to 2 million Placement: Inside and online Image Size: 1/4 page Start: 01 November 2017 End: 02 November 2017 Any placement in paper and online. One use in a single editorial article used within the print and digital versions of a single publication. Digital usage includes archive rights for the lifetime of the article.
  18. It's finally arrived... initial thoughts are that I like it! Thanks Alamy!
  19. Hi all, today i was considering we active forum contributors (regular plus some newbie) barely arrive at 500,000 pictures alltogether. What about the others? I mean, in your opinion how is Alamy going for the other 109 millions pictures of contributors never writing in forum threads? Are they just reading tricks and secrets of seniors and then use them for their own or may be they left pictures alone since years? Just wondering what you think. We often say we have to compete with 110 millions pictures then re-keyword and boring activities; are we sure this is the
  20. Hi, to all I am relatively new to stock photography, i just wanna ask from when can we see sales really pouring in. I had gone through some blogs they are saying around 6 months for first sale, is that true...? Secondly, please have a look into my profile and give a feedback on types of images i am uploading, is the content right for sale or i need to upscale my creativity. Thanks in advance
  21. I started to upload images here at the end of last year. I realised soon it is difficult to sell images on Alamy with little portfolios. So i had only few hope at first. Now I had surprised and happy for my first two sales.Today I am happy to say hello to all of you and hope to have an happy future here. If you want, you can also view at my portfolio and make comments or suggestions.
  22. I've 3500+ images on my port but following many contributor advices i decided to improve my existing images keywording instead of adding new ones. In particular looking at My Images i recently noticed that i've some Views related to the Location .. i mean , just the location keyword itself. For i.e. i've thousand of views for "Mali" which is strange.. I never imagined buyers searching for the country or the city only. In the above example i imagined searches like "Mali school" or "Mali children", from which i actually had views but much fewer than searches for the word "Mali" standalone. D
  23. Since i started uploading to Alamy (1 year yesterday) i was wondering why a buyer should zoom an image. These are some of my conclusions: a) to expand a tiny thumbnail which is poorly visible b to check the final price (useful for RM) c) to buy the image d) to verify which other similar pics a contributor has e) to double check an image before buying it Which other reasons come in mind to you guys? 1 year, i have 2 sales out of 47 zooms so it seems case c) is just 4% of the total reasons
  24. Hi all, i became an Alamy contributor since Feb 2016, now i've 3500 pics, 10700 views , 17 zooms but no... sales! While i'm trying uploading different topics in quantity , what do you suggest me to focus on? Better keywording, Better quality, Wait 1 year to start seeing sales? What else? Thanks in advance
  25. I see a lot of people talking about have sold a picture for $100, $200 and so on. I was wondering, how can I sale my pictures for more then only $0,90?
