  1. Been in my mind for a long time. Please help. 1) Let's say my caption have "luxury brand shops", is it necessary to include in keywords again? 2) Is supertags necessary to apply? 3) At the Optional section, there is "location". Is it necessary to apply again when caption and keywords already stated the location?
  2. Good morning to all of you, I have a doubt that I would like to share with you to check if I am doing the correct procedure. When I go to index the images in Alamy Image Manager, in the part referred to the Position in "Optional" the location does not come out automatically. I remember that at the beginning he typed the first part of the location and automatically the program resumed the map. Now this is no longer possible. Can you confirm that this is so? Maybe I have imprudently disabled some automation. Thank you! lorenza 🙂 (sorry, I used the google translator)
  3. many times when i type in the address, the entire underscore line disappear. then need to refresh and type again or go back to Mandatory then go back Optional then the line appear again to type in the address. can this problem be fix by Alamy?
  4. A map used to appear once I started adding info in the location field of image manager; lately I haven't seen that. Any recommendations about how specific this should be? For example, is an exact street address ideal? Intersection OK? (ie, Main St. and First St.) Also, is "1234 Main St. Los Angeles California" OK, or do I need to include country?
  5. Here is a blog post that should be required reading for every photographer. https://diglloyd.com/blog/2016/20161125_1800-destroying-to-make-the-picture.html It is one of the reasons why I only give an approximate location for my images, and certainly no GPS. An approximate location is enough for any editor client trying to write a caption, without attracting hordes of photographers. The blog post only refers to wilderness, but it also happens in the country and the city as well. Ask any city homeowner or a farmer residing at a good picture location. Trampled crops, gates left open, cattle stampeded, photographers parking in a city private driveway, trespass in backyards, the list goes on. Take nothing but pictures, do not even leave footprints.
  6. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone would recommend any of the various smartphone apps for helping determine sunrise, sunset etc? Came across Ephemeris and it looks as if it could be useful but perhaps a little complicated? This link is pretty comprehensive but better from the horse's mouth, so to speak, IMO! :-) Any suggestions?
  7. Hi all, How many of you compile a list of 'pics/locations that you want to take/visit? I seem to be forever adding to my list of places to go but never finding time to visit, although I am probably in the vicinity quite often. Perhaps it is lack of time, absent mindedness or not being methodical enough but wouldn't it be useful if there were an app that triggered an alert when you came within distance of a particular spot? Does anyone know if there is such a thing? It would make the job of remembering where you need to take your next shot that much easier. Surely Google and Amazon must have something that helps them deliver specific adds to customers based on your geolocation? Is there anything out there for us mere mortals?
