I accidentally uploaded the same image twice
MikeOK posted a question in Community support: ask the forum
I accidentally uploaded the same image twice. Being new to the system here on Alamy, my question is... Is it possible to delete an image after it has been uploaded? Thanks! -

Hi again! I'm sure this has already been answered. But I'm working on some autumn images with really intense reds and yellows. The images look fine in Lightroom, but when I export as JPEGs the saturation just looks too much (I'm looking at the JPEGs in Microsoft "Photos", the default programme in Windows). So first question, when I upload to Alamy, are the thumbnails going to look like my JPEGs in Microsoft "Photos" or like what I'm seeing in Lightroom? Second question, what does a customer see when they download? Same as what I'm seeing if they open in "Photos" or in Lightroom? Is this just a really stupid question and it just depends which photo viewer you use? Presumably clients will be using an array of different photo viewers.... Steve

I've been with Alamy since 2002 and started on film - 35mm neg and scanned (good scanner). Photoshop and my editing skills have improved since then and I would like to re-submit some old images. However, will they pass QC? Original sizes were about 65 mb and I've looked at them at about 35 mb, but I'm doubtful. Will what passed QC then pass QC now? Has anybody got experience of this situation? PS - Despite the description of me as a forum newbie. I'm not. Just haven't posted in a long time. Jeff ? You still here?

Hi1 I can't find a search button on the forum pages so I don't know if this has been covered. I have deleted a few images using the 'optional' page on the manage my images page. However they are still for sale on the site. Why is this? Thanks for any help. Sandra

Good morning everyone Sorry for my english, I use the translator. To upload images to alamy and other agencies, I use the picworlflow program. All right until a few days ago. A few days ago I can not find the photos in alamy to be then indexed. I contacted the picworkflow service and they tell me that it turns out that the images are at destination or on alamy. Did any of you have this problem? Can anyone help me? It is my first intervention in the alamy forum and I have been registered for a year on alamy with four sales. My portfolio is about 2000 images. Thank you

I have read the specification for uploading images to the Alay site. It notes that uncompressed images must be at least 17MB in size. Is this correct? That is absolutely enormous! Unless, of course, I'm doing something wrong ... Thanks.

Hi All, i have problems with vertical photos. When I submit them, they are authomatically rotate into horizontal position, so I cannot use them for Alamy port. strange thing is that they pass the QC... any idea how to overcome this? thanks! v.

What you think about the usefullness of post processing? I mean, thinking not only about pictures but also video, for stock the best is to provide low contrast (not dull of course), low saturation and low overall sharpness files right? These are the best items to provide to designers and advertisers, do you agree? Then they'll have more space to re-use our files for their purposes. So it seems you should pre-set a very minimal post processing from the initial RAW file and export it. What am i missing?
