As above hello and good morning all. I'm new to stock photography but have been taking photographs since pretty much forever. I started off with school photographic society and a small darkroom in my parents house but lost interest a bit when digital arrived on the scene. I got back in to it a bit more seriously when my wife bought me an Eos 500d for my thirtieth nearly ten years ago but have started taking it a bit more seriously since a back injury stopped a lot of my other hobbies a few years back. I've only got a very small number of pictures on Alamy so far (only 60ish) but made my first sale yesterday so feeling a new burst of enthusiasm đ. Looking forwards to getting to know you all and mining some of the knowledge base that resides here. Regards. James đ. Ps apologies for the sad emoji below I pressed it accidentally and every time I try to delete it my browser seems to crash âšī¸

Good day to you all, I just thought that I'd take this quick opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Stephen and I'm new to Alamy and the whole process of uploading photos to sell from stock. I live in South Wales, UK in a little village a short drive away far from the beautifully picturesque Brecon Beacons. I've been into photography since I was a child and had my first SLR when I was 10 - ahh the good ol' Praktica days - before moving onto a DSLR about 10 years ago. I've recently purchased a Canon 750D earlier this year, so able to take a good quality set of photos with. I'd guess my subject for photos are predominately wildlife and alike and also landscapes and castles (I'm on a voyage to visit all the UK castles in my lifetime), but I'm trying to take random pics just for.... well for the randomness really! I am yet to submit my first three photos, but I've been able to take some pics over the weekend. Unfortunately when on holiday in June although my camera takes 23mp, the files are not big enough for Alamy and it wasn't really until I was reading a money advice website suggested Alamy as a place to sell photos, that I looked into it further. I'll have a browse through the pics I've taken and see if any of them are suitable to submit for my first submission. I know that this is all still a bit new to me and even though I've been taking photos for many years, I'm hoping to pick up some tips and advice and to hopefully improve my hobby a bit in the time. I'm still a bit unsure if my photos are going to be good enough, but in reading through some of the articles and some of the suggestions on the forum and it does seem like a good place to assist or get assistance from. The one article I read was suggesting that if I took photos, then worth signing up, so here I am I've waffled on a bit long now, so thank you for taking time to read my post, and if you can give me any quick tips or advice that you may have learnt from using Alamy, I'd love to hear. Stephen

Hi Everyone. I'm not new to Alamy (I've been contributing for a while), but just joined the forums.

Just a quick hello from another serious amateur/pretend professional joining the Alamy ranks. My prime camera is a D7200 and I am usually using a sigma 70 - 300 mm. I have accidentally landed into doing mostly football shots (few if any will be coming on here) but also enjoy nature, events, and news if I find out about it in time. My first 3 shots were accepted OK. I tend to have opinions on things. Oh, and I am female.

Hello I thought I would introduce myself after signing up late last week! My name is Stephen, I'm a hobby photographer based in Aberdeen, Scotland, UK. I received my current camera (Canon 700D) as a Christmas present a couple of years ago. Although I got the camera a while back I have only really started concentrating on my photography skills around May last year, and pursuing it as a serious hobby. I have had my eye on signing up as a stock contributor since Autumn last year, however I never had the confidence in my skills and questioned whether I would even pass QC! Last week I decided I shouldn't avoid it any longer and decided to prepare some images and submit then and see what happens, I was delighted they passed through QC! Hopefully in the coming weeks and months I will have filled out my catalogue quite a bit, currently trawling through my images over the last year and picking out what I want to add! I will no doubt be looking to the forum for help or advice from time to time, I will appreciate that support, and in time can hopefully return the favor. Thanks Stephen

After a great deal of time reading the forum I thought it was about time I signed up. A very brief intro about me is that I'm featured in Part 4 of the $100,000 club.
