  1. https://www.alamy.com/myupload/index.aspx?login=1 Anytime I try uploading my first 3 Stock photos for approval though it shows 3 photos are submitted it ends up appearing as 2 in it's course of processing which is ultimately unapproved. This is 8th time it's happening. Please help me out. Thanks
  2. Are you more digital or analog? I'm not talking about whether you shoot film, I know most here shoot primarily or entirely digital ... and have done so for more than a decade. I mean in your approach to life. I love the digital world but my approach to life still has a very strong analog component. For example, I love Lightroom and have used it since v 1.0. I started using it while working as a digital tech for a photographer several years my junior. I love technology. But.... I expected that once I got all 80,000 or so images completely orga
  3. I have some old medium format images taken 30 years ago as a student that I think still have merit. Random street folk and other people who will probably died as they were old then. Some groups of kids on the streets etc. I have no way of tracking them down so can I submit here as editorial having no model release ? Thanks.
  4. Hi, New guy here I have couple of questions I couldn't google answers to... I hope you guys could help me here. First just wondering about if it's allowed to have image sold as rights managed licence exclusively and also have the exact same photo selling on print on demand site (Fine Art America) at the same time? As far as I know Fine Art America only sells prints and now licences? Also if I'm having a original photo selling as right managed licence in Alamy but also I have different edit of the same photo for example added light spot with lens flare and reduced size and selling
  5. How do I upload an avatar to the forum? Can I do it via dropbox somehow? At one point I had two accounts on Alamy - one for reportage and one for commercial way back when they required me to do it that way, and I had an avatar in the forum. When Alamy later combined the two for me into my reportage (newer) account, I had to re-join the forum and haven't been able to upload an avatar. Thanks for your help!
  6. Hi, I'm completely new to Alamy or selling photographs online and I just have a legal question which confuses me a bit: In addition to others, I have a lot of nice pictures that were taken from public streets but feature recognizable buildings in the background (for example from the Vegas strip. Pics that show some of the hotels in the background, day or night) Also cityscape views taken from my room that show a number of the hotels, but from a far distance. One can read the hotel logos (such as "Caesar's Palace," "Bally's" etc, but, again, it's at a distance, no real details of the h
  7. Can anyone identify the insect on this beach rose? It was taken in Rhode Island in July. I'm thinking may some sort of gnat? Thanks! If it's not clear enough in this, how would I set it up to place a close up crop in dropbox for people to see? Does it matter for keywording since it's small in the photo? Any help and advice welcome. Thanks!
