  1. Hello. I have just created my account on Alamy so that I can sell pictures. I though I could make money easily, but when I uploaded my first picutres, the website refused them. But these are the best pictures I could took. And I can't show them with a link.
  2. I have inherited some old b&w prints taken in World War 2 and the 1950s that might be of historical interest. Does Alamy accept scans of this type of photo, and would they need to be resampled in a photo editor to bring them up to a certain file size and resolution?
  3. Good article here about that recent photograph of Harry and Meghan and how it happened https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/harry-and-meghan-photo-samir-hussein_uk_5e621a0dc5b691b525f0bb5e?utm_hp_ref=uk-homepage
  4. I accidentally uploaded the same image twice. Being new to the system here on Alamy, my question is... Is it possible to delete an image after it has been uploaded? Thanks!

  6. Hello Everyone:) This is a repeat of a question I posted this last Saturday... How many times does one have to submit 3 photos to be approved by Alamy Quality Control? I have the email from Alamy, sent to me on August 22nd approving my 3 photos & welcoming me to Alamy - I took that to mean that I'd passed the test. But maybe not...? I've looked through the site & have not found any info - I will be the first to admit I might have overlooked something though:) Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Elizabeth - aka tinyninjacat
  7. Hi All, I'm trying to upload high quality JPEGs of my images, but I keep getting a message that my JPEGs are too small. I'm saving tiff files of around 25mb (uncompressed) as the highest quality JPEGs and they're coming out at around 2.2mb, but still I'm getting the message that they're too small. Any idea of how to fix this?
  8. Hi , hope all is well. Was wandering how could we get from Alamy the list of publications each contributor has had published ? Not monthly but at least annually.
  9. Hi, I have some photos I took with my phone that I'd like to upload to Alamy but they're 1.4MB uncompressed. Is there any way to enlarge them so they meet the size requirements? Many thanks in advance!
