  1. Hello My name is Thomas and this is my first time on this forum. I have uploaded my first files but I can´t really see that it went ok. It´s been some days now and I just wonder if I have to do it again. I read that review time was within 24h. Regards Thomas
  2. Hi to everyone. I have just submitted my first 4 images and am waiting for the alamy team to give me the yea or nay. Looking forward to learning the lay of the land in Alamy and the approval process. I do submit to several other stock agencies and I tend to focus on studio work but not of people. Take care Diana
  3. I am new to alamy and I was curious to know about how much money I can expect to make.
  4. Hello everyone! I recently joined Alamy to sell my pictures online! I am completely new at this. I was just hoping if anyone had any tips/pointers they could give on selling their pictures the best way??
  5. Hi everybody, I am about to submit my first four submissions for approval, they look OK technically.Three of the images have people in them with no model release and the fourth is of the Hungarian parliament shot at dusk. My question is: do the initial submissions have to be totally bland ie suitable for commercial micro stock type or can they reflect the sort of editorial work that I wish to submit? Thanks Adrian
  6. My question is should I be comfortable now that 9 images have passed QC or should I still be on guard? Hello, I am new and had read the Alamy forum prior to joining and I must say I was slightly frightened by the QC in Alamy and there was also some talk of how long it was taking to get through QC. I have so far experienced none of those problems. My first 4 images went though in 24 hours and passed, my second 5 images went though in about 40 hours and passed.
  7. Hey everyone, I'm new to Alamy and have about 45 images available for sale as of today. I joined alamy about 4 weeks ago but have not had any zooms much less sales. Most of my photos are related to travel. I'm stuck in a rut and need some advice from the vets here at Alamy. Any advice on quality of photos, marketability, etc. are greatly appreciated. Stock photography by Kelley Stanley at Alamy Thanks! Kelley Stanley
  8. I just received the Lytro Illum camera and am wondering if anyone has submitted images from the Illum to Alamy.
  9. Hello everybody, My name is Mirco Vacca and just started to send to Alamy. I have many RF images also on microstock agencies but since i am doing more street photography i think Alamy is a better place for me. I see people making not much sales here but aslo others with 1600 photos selling 20 licences per month. Off course it depends on the quality of your images. I want to give it a try. Feel free to check my portfolio. I am happy to get opinion about it. For sure i can learn something from you. Thank you very much . Mirco
  10. Hi everyone. I am relatively new here. I joined around April this year. After a few weeks I had my first sale for a total of $134, and since then nothing. I have also noticed that the amount of zooms I am getting is very low. This month so far 0! For you more experienced contributors, what am I doing wrong? It may also be nothing, but I would really appreciate some advice. http://www.alamy.com/stock-photography/C2D9A136-7CF6-4E3E-916A-A8BFE487D575/Stephen%20Allen.html Thanks for your help, I think I need all I can get Steve
  11. As we're now into the second week of the new forum what are your views on how it is working? My view is that the number of posts seem to be lower, but of higher quality. And the amount of nasty or antagonistic posting has been lower. But I'm fairly new and don't hold any rights to longevity on forum posting, which seems to have been a token of value on the old forum. What do others think? Ken
  12. Have you seen this type of licence before? It's the first time for me. A sale was reported this morning. Country: United Kingdom Usage: Internal business usage Media: Personal Start: 22 May 2013 End: 22 May 2016 I hope that it is the beginning of recognition by people that they have to pay to use images. Am I speaking too soon? Sung
