Hello, we're a commercial photographer company in the UK and have worked with clients for many years on their commissions, events etc. I'd like to know whether the pictures we have taken on behalf of the clients can be added to our Alamy library? As is normally the case, the client pays us for the time and delivery of the the images - but can we then sell them for stock? Is there a period of time that must elapse before we do? We don't issue contracts for each job so assume that the default arrangement is that the photographer owns the copyright of the images. Any guidance would be most apprec
Hi, just wondering, admittedly without huge experience in Alamy sales, but... some sales have been showing now for 5 months as not yet cleared. My understanding from the Alamy help pages is that essentially customer was billed but hasn't yet paid for the image. The big question is whether it ever clears, as this depends on customer ever paying up... but mainly, in the meantime is customer already using the image? I am new and currently shifting from microstock to focusing primarily on Alamy submissions. At the same time I have shifted to street photography primarily based on travel. My question is.....is there a list publicly available of the clients/buyers/distributors associated with Alamy? For example, does National Geographic or The Guardian or whatever other publications out there have a relationship with Alamy? I would love to look at said publications to see what stories are being written thus gearing my photography towards similar genres/topics. I don't know if this is proprietary informatio
